Prince Haruna Momoh is an oil and gas executive with over 25 years’ experience in the industry. He has held prestigious roles, such as, Legal Adviser to Eleme Petrochemicals Company Limited (EPCL) and Managing Director at Pipelines and Products Marketing Company (PPMC), a subsidiary of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC). He is now Managing Partner at Barat Consultants.
Prince Haruna Momoh is a qualified barrister and was called to the Nigerian bar in 1986. He also holds a Masters in Business Administration and is a Professional Member of the Nigerian Institution of Management.
He has been involved in a number of significant initiatives, including the ‘Kero-Direct Project’, established to meet the increased demand for household kerosene, policy formulation and implementation of the upstream, midstream and downstream sectors of the oil and gas industry. He was also responsible for ensuring seamless supply and distribution and nationwide uniform pricing of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) to 170 million Nigerians. Prince Haruna Momoh has additionally participated in numerous business forums regarding the development of Africa with likes of the United Nations and the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).
His interest in Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) came after he noticed that around 56% of cooking in Nigeria was fuelled by wood and charcoal, despite an abundance of safe, efficient and affordable LPG being available in the country. He co-founded the Gas to Health Initiative (GTHI) alongside other stakeholders in the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry in January 2013, with the aim of promoting the use of LPG across the country, through the distribution of safety tips and free cylinders.
As well as serving as Chairman of the Board of Trustees at GTHI, Prince Haruna Momoh is the founder of the Future Connections Foundation and the Kings and Mairo Foundation.Back to "Our Team"
